High tide at sunrise on North Avoca Beach, NSW

This image was another example of reacting to the situation at hand. I had originally planned on climbing to another position I had scouted the previous day. However, when I arrived this morning, high tide and huge waves crashing on these rocks prevented me even getting close. I ended up on this ledge as a safety position so my gear didn't get wet. When I turned around, I was happy with the elevation from this position which showed the movement and force of the waves. The sun had just risen and was kissing the moving waves over the rocks. It turned out to be a very special morning!
